DALLAS-Cadet promotions jump started the March Awards and Promotions Ceremony for the 391st Composite Squadron.  Henry A. Chu and Katherine K. Jovicich were both promoted to C/SSgt and Matthew C. Dykes was promoted to C/A1C. On the senior member side, two members were promoted from Captain to Major: Seth S. Grenke and Aaron A. Garrett III.  Blanca S. Applewhite was promoted to 2nd Lt.

Following the promotion ceremony, the Squadron received a Safety Briefing regarding Spring weather.  Maj John S. Krogstad presented members with details of the type of weather changes and potential dangers to expect when flying during the spring months. While the winter months can have steady, cold weather patterns, spring brings unpredictable weather which can include severe thunderstorms. It served as a timely lesson, reinforced by the spectacular lightning in the Dallas skies 72 hours later. CAP pilots were reminded to continually check weather status before and during flight, and to keep safety in mind when making decisions.
