One in a Thousand

DALLAS-Lt. Col Bobby Sides Squadron Commander of the 391st Composite Squadron, Group III Texas Wing of the Civil Air Patrol announced the receipt of a cash grant presented by Communities Foundation of Texas during the squadron's weekly meeting at their headquarters at Dallas Business Jet Love Field Dallas.

Colonel Sides pointed out to squadron members in attendance that "of  the more than a thousand charities funded by the Foundation the 391st Composte Squadron was the only Civil Air Patrol in the country so honored"  Capt Stan Jovicich squadron finance officer said "this money will go direct the Cadet Scholarship fund where it s not only welcomed but will be put to good use.

When notified of the award to the squadron, Group III Commanding Officer Lt Col Russell Miller commented "One more feather in the cap of the rapidly growing 391st squadron.  Congratulations to both Cadets and Senior members, for another accomplishment in its' long list of squadron firsts.  Well Done!!!
