DALLAS-The 391st Composite Squadron, Group III, Texas Wing Civil Air Patrol has just finished  hosting a weekend CAP course in aerial photography.  The course was conducted  at the squadron's meeting headquarters located at Dallas Business Jet, Love Field Dallas.  The instructor for the course was Maj Bill Mellet of the Denton Based Blackhawk Squadron.   Following the completion of  two check ride sorties, the individual who has completed the classroom work will be designated a Qualified Aerial Photographer.   Of the fifteen graduates,  five senior members were from host 391st squadron.

Congratulations to 1st Lt's Wes Schenlker and Robert McTaggert on their promotion to Captain.  "Well done," commented Squadron Commander Lt Col Bob Sides, who went on to point out that these two men represent the highest qualities of leadership and airmanship that make it a real pleasure to command the 391st Composite Squadron, Texas Wing Civil Air Patrol.

The 391st has received another exclusive invitation, this time to attend a private briefing and tour of the facilities at Lockheed-Martin's plant in Fort Worth.  "The bomber plant" as it is known locally currently produces the F-16, F-22 and the exciting F-35.  Complete details to follow.
